IL SB2669

Amends the Legislative Commission Reorganization Act of 1984 by modifying Section 8A-5 regarding the Architect of the Capitol.

Makes a technical correction to the title of the Architect of the Capitol position, changing "Architect of the the Capitol" to "Architect of the Capitol."

Requires the Architect of the Capitol to be licensed under the Illinois Architecture Practice Act of 1989 and have at least 5 years of experience in architecture, historic preservation, or both.

Mandates that the Architect of the Capitol and staff offices be located in Springfield, Illinois in a building or facility occupied by the legislative branch.
