IL SB2672

Amends the Illinois Educational Labor Relations Act by making a technical change to Section 5 concerning the Illinois Educational Labor Relations Board.

Corrects the grammar in the section establishing the Board by removing a redundant "the" in the opening clause.

Board consists of 5 members appointed by the Governor with Senate advice and consent, with no more than 3 members from the same political party (effective July 1, 2003 or when all initial appointees are seated).

Board members must be Illinois residents with a minimum of 5 years of experience in labor and employment relations representing educational employers or employees in collective bargaining matters.

Chairman receives $50,000 per year and other members receive $45,000 per year (or amount set by Compensation Review Board, whichever is greater).
