IL SB2796

Amends the Probate Act of 1975 to allow one of the evaluators in a guardianship disability report to be a licensed clinical psychologist instead of requiring a licensed physician.

Permits a licensed clinical psychologist's report (in addition to a physician's report) to support a petition allowing a ward to execute a will or codicil, provided the report states the ward possesses testamentary capacity.

Maintains existing requirements that evaluations be performed within 3 months of petition filing and include assessment of the respondent's mental, physical, and educational condition and adaptive behavior.

Preserves confidentiality protections for disability reports while allowing access to the court, appellate courts, respondent, petitioner, guardian, attorneys, and guardian ad litem.
