IL SB2833

Amends the Public Utilities Act Section 2-101 concerning the Illinois Commerce Commission.

Makes a technical grammatical change to the political party composition requirement for Commission members by removing a duplicate "the" in the text.

Illinois Commerce Commission consists of 5 members with no more than 3 from the same political party at the time of appointment, appointed by the Governor with Senate consent.

Each Commission member serves a 5-year term beginning the third Monday in January, with the Governor designating the chairman as the chief executive officer.

Establishes quorum requirements: 4 members constitute a quorum when no vacancy exists; otherwise a majority constitutes a quorum.
