Adds Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) employees to the list of protected persons under Illinois aggravated battery law, alongside peace officers, firefighters, correctional employees, and others

Battery causing great bodily harm, permanent disability, or disfigurement to a DCFS employee performing official duties, or battered to prevent or retaliate for official duties, is a Class 1 felony

Battery against a DCFS employee (without causing great bodily harm) while performing official duties, or to prevent/retaliate for official duties, is a Class 2 felony

Protection applies in three circumstances: when the employee is performing official duties, when battered to prevent performance of duties, or when battered in retaliation for performing duties

Amends Section 12-3.05 of the Criminal Code of 2012 (720 ILCS 5/12-3.05)
