LINK cards used for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits or cash must contain the name and photo of the primary cardholder, effective January 1, 2021.

Primary cardholders may optionally authorize secondary cardholders, whose names shall be listed on the card.

Primary cardholders may use LINK cards if their photo matches; secondary cardholders must present current valid photo identification confirming their authorization on the card.

Department of Human Services must begin transitioning to photo-ID LINK cards immediately upon the act's effective date, with completion required by January 1, 2021.

Act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
