IL SB3001

Adds a new "Social Worker" endorsement to an Educator License with Stipulations for applicants with a master's degree in social work from a regionally accredited institution and a valid license under the Clinical Social Work and Social Work Practice Act.

Exempts social workers meeting these requirements from having to complete an Illinois-approved educator preparation program, though they may be subject to other criteria established by State Board of Education rules.

Requires the State Board of Education to define and specify rules for the social worker endorsement by August 1, 2020.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
