• Colleges and universities with campuses having over 1,000 full-time students must appoint or hire a Coordinator of Veterans and Military Personnel Student Services within 6 months to serve as an ombudsperson and advocate for student veterans' needs.

• The Coordinator must establish a centralized source for veterans to learn about eligible benefits and services, and regularly advertise the coordinator's office location, phone number, and internet access through campus websites, social media, and student application mailings.

• The Board of Higher Education and Department of Veterans' Affairs must review surveys, post links on their websites, and may issue a best practices report; the Governor's office must submit an evaluation report with suggestions to each institution.

• Colleges and universities must make best efforts to create academic and social programs for veterans and explore expanding or altering online curricula to serve student veterans and deployed military personnel, with annual reporting to the Board of Higher Education on fiscal impact and recruitment efforts.
