IL SB3084

Amends the State Fire Marshal Act to correct typographical errors in Section 3, including changing "fulltime" to "full-time" and "maintennce" to "maintenance."

Changes "Fire Insurance" to "fire insurance" (lowercase) and "chairman" to "chairperson" to update terminology and language conventions.

Adds the Illinois Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators to the list of organizations from which ex officio members of the Illinois Fire Advisory Commission shall serve.

Adds gender-neutral language by changing "his" to "or her" in references to the Chicago Fire Commissioner and other designees serving on the Commission.

Corrects reference to Public Act 85-718 instead of "this amendatory Act of 1987" regarding term lengths for appointed members.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
