IL SB3108

Amends the Illinois Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act to require restaurants to include a default beverage with children's meals.

Default beverage options include water, sparkling water, flavored water with no added sweeteners, nonfat or 1% milk or nondairy alternative, 100% fruit juice, or fruit juice combined with water or carbonated water with no added sweeteners.

Restaurants may substitute a different beverage upon customer request.

The Department of Public Health is responsible for implementing, administering, and enforcing the requirements and may adopt necessary rules.
