Statement of candidacy forms must now include a telephone number and email address for candidates, if available.

Cook County countywide office candidates must collect 5,000 to 10,000 signatures on nomination petitions, replacing the previous requirement of 0.5% of qualified party electors.

Chicago mayoral, city clerk, and city treasurer candidates must gather 5,000 to 10,000 signatures on nomination petitions, changed from the previous requirement of 12,500 signatures.

Signature requirements for other offices and candidates remain based on the 0.5% formula or other existing standards not affected by this amendment.
