Amends Section 1-2 of the School Code (105 ILCS 5/1-2), which addresses the construction and interpretation of the School Code.

Makes a technical change to the text by replacing struck language with "The" at the beginning of the construction provision.

Clarifies that provisions of the School Code that are the same as prior statutes shall be construed as a continuation of those prior provisions, not as new enactments.

Establishes that references in other statutes to prior education acts or sections that are continued in the School Code shall be held to refer to the continued sections in the current Code.
