SB3209 Summary

• Extends the petition filing deadline for nominations from 113 days before the primary to 134 days before the primary for State, congressional, judicial, county officer, sanitary district, precinct committeeperson, township committeeperson, and ward committeeperson offices.

• Changes the minimum filing deadline from 106 days before the primary to 127 days before the primary for the same offices listed above.

• Maintains the special filing deadlines for congressional vacancy elections (85-82 days) and judicial vacancy elections (92-85 days).

• Effective immediately upon passage.
