IL SB3225

Amends the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Program Act to allow park districts to authorize parents, guardians, or designated caregivers to administer medical cannabis infused products to program participants with disabilities on park district premises if both are cardholders.

Requires the caregiver to remove the medical cannabis product from park district premises after administration and prohibits administration in a manner that disrupts programs or exposes the product to other participants.

Prohibits park districts from disciplining or denying program eligibility to participants who receive medical cannabis administration solely based on that requirement.

Clarifies that park district staff members are not required to administer medical cannabis products and that park districts cannot authorize such use if it would result in loss of federal funding.

Makes the amendments effective immediately and exempts them from specified limitations and penalties in the existing medical cannabis law.
