IL SB3230

Exempts landowners and their immediate family members (children, parents, brothers, and sisters) from the requirement to purchase a State Habitat Stamp to hunt on their own land

Current law already allows farm land owners/tenants and their immediate family residing on the land to hunt without a hunting license; this bill extends a similar exemption specifically for the State Habitat Stamp

Hunting under this exemption must still comply with all other Wildlife Code requirements, including permitted time periods, devices, and methods

Amends Section 3.1 of the Wildlife Code (520 ILCS 5/3.1)

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
