IL SB3234

Prohibits all public universities in Illinois (University of Illinois, Southern Illinois University, Chicago State University, Eastern Illinois University, Governors State University, Illinois State University, Northeastern Illinois University, Northern Illinois University, and Western Illinois University) from holding classes on days of general primary elections or general elections as defined by the Election Code.

Prohibits community colleges from holding classes on days of general primary elections or general elections as defined by the Election Code.

Allows public universities and community colleges to remain open for purposes other than holding classes on election days.

Applies uniformly to all Illinois public universities and community college districts through amendments to their respective governing statutes.
