Schools or programs with an enrollment capacity of 5 students or less would be exempt from regulation under the Private Business and Vocational Schools Act of 2012

Requires any person, firm, or corporation operating a school of electrology for compensation to obtain a license from the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation

Electrology school applicants must submit floor plans, proof of location ownership or lease commitment for at least one year, articles of incorporation or organization, and financial statements demonstrating ability to operate for at least 3 months

Licensed electrology schools must employ qualified teachers with valid electrology licenses, allow Department inspections, maintain truthful advertising, screen applicants, and post student rights statements

Electrology schools must pass a final inspection by the Department and obtain fire safety approval from the State Fire Marshal or local fire authority before commencing classes
