IL SB3312

Amends the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act to require school board members to direct or cause the school board to direct the superintendent, principal, or other equivalent school administrator to comply with child abuse reporting requirements when an allegation is raised that an enrolled child is abused.

Grants school board members authority in their individual capacity to direct school administrators to ensure child abuse reports are made to the Department of Children and Family Services.

Removes the restriction limiting this requirement to allegations raised only during open or closed school board meetings, making the duty apply to allegations raised at any time.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
