IL SB3480

Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to waive standard vehicle registration fees for disabled veterans starting with the 2022 registration year.

Applies to passenger motor vehicles of the first division and motor vehicles of the second division weighing not more than 8,000 pounds registered under Section 3-815.

Requires disabled veterans to hold proof of a service-connected disability from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs to qualify for the fee waiver.

Maintains existing provisions providing 50% fee reductions for active duty military personnel stationed overseas for 90+ days and full fee waivers for members returning from combat missions.
