IL SB3505

Amends the Charter Schools Law to require all charter school proposals to include a union neutrality clause as a condition of approval.

Defines "union neutrality clause" to require charter schools to remain neutral on employee unionization, refrain from threatening or retaliating against employees based on union support, provide union access to employees, and recognize unions through majority card check verified by a neutral third-party arbitrator.

Requires any renewal of a certified charter school contract to include a union neutrality clause after the effective date of this Act.

Applies to charter school proposals and renewals submitted under Sections 27A-3, 27A-6, and 27A-7 of the Illinois School Code.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
