Amends the Firearms Restraining Order Act to expand where petitions can be filed beyond the respondent's county of residence.

Allows petitions to be filed in any county where an incident occurred involving the respondent posing an immediate and present danger through firearm custody, control, purchase, possession, or receipt.

Maintains existing provisions that clerks cannot charge fees for filing, amending, or serving firearms restraining order petitions and related documents.

Requires courts to provide simplified forms and clerical assistance through the clerk's office to help unrepresented persons file petitions.
