School boards must notify parents or guardians of all enrolled students if a school employee is under investigation by school authorities or law enforcement for offenses listed in Section 21B-80 of the School Code.

School boards must provide notice within 5 days after receiving information about the investigation concerning the school employee.

Requirement applies to both regular school districts (Section 10-20.73) and charter schools (Section 34-18.66).

Notifications must reach parents or guardians of each student in the school district where the employee works.
