IL SB3630

Amends the Department of Human Services Act by modifying Section 1-20 concerning general powers and duties of the Department of Human Services.

Makes a technical correction by changing "The" to "The" in subsection (a) regarding the Department's exercise of rights, powers, duties, and functions.

Transfers state healthcare purchasing powers, duties, rights, and responsibilities back to the Department of Human Services that were previously transferred to the Department of Healthcare and Family Services under Executive Order 3 (2005).

Transfer of healthcare purchasing functions becomes effective 6 months after the effective date of the 98th General Assembly's Executive Order 1 (2012) Implementation Act.
