Prohibits stores in Illinois from selling or distributing disposable food service containers composed in whole or in part of polystyrene foam beginning January 1, 2022.

Defines "disposable food service container" as single-use serviceware including takeout containers, packaging for meat/eggs/bakery products, and leftover containers.

Defines "polystyrene foam" as blown polystyrene and expanded or extruded foams using styrene monomer.

Applies to retail establishments including convenience stores, restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, and farm stands selling prepared foods directly to consumers.

Directs the Environmental Protection Agency to adopt rules to implement the ban.
