• Protects professional workers displaced due to joint special education agreement dissolution, reorganization, withdrawal, removal, or addition of districts by transferring their length of service, pay, and benefits to the new employing district.

• Requires new or transferred employment to be deemed a continuation of previous employment regardless of the district's participation in the joint agreement.

• Allows displaced professional workers to receive substantially equal benefits if identical benefits are unavailable at the new district.

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
