• Until the permit-by-rule is adopted, building owners must register systems by filing a notice with the Agency containing building information, contact details, equipment specifications, and a control system monitoring plan.

• On-site Legionella control systems must be NSF-certified for drinking water safety and EPA-registered as effective against Legionella, with installation performed by licensed plumbers and monitoring records maintained for 10 years.

• Owners must notify the Agency within 5 business days of material deviations from operating parameters and within 30 days provide written notification detailing the deviation, restoration of compliance, and any equipment maintenance undertaken.
