IL SB3780

Amends the School Code Section 1C-2 to permit Early Childhood Education Block Grant funds to be used for developmental disability evaluations beginning with the 2020-2021 school year.

Early Childhood Education Block Grant funds are created by combining Preschool Education and Parental Training and Prevention Initiative programs and distributed to school districts and other entities.

Requires that not less than 14% of Early Childhood Education Block Grant allocation fund programs for children ages 0-3, with additional requirements that at least 25% of new funding above the previous year's allocation support ages 0-3 programs until reaching 20% of overall allocation.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
