Amends the Line of Duty Compensation Act (820 ILCS 315/2) to include probation officers within the definition of "law enforcement officer."

Defines probation officers as those meeting the criteria in Section 9b of the Probation and Probation Officers Act.

Extends line of duty compensation benefits to probation officers killed or injured in the performance of their duties, consistent with existing coverage for police officers and other law enforcement personnel.

Maintains existing provisions regarding death requirements, including that death must occur within one year of injury and arise from violence or accidental cause during active duty performance.
