IL SB3797

Requires units of local government to compile a list of all entities paid more than $3,000 in government funds during a fiscal year, including entity name, address, products or services supplied, and amount paid.

List must be continuously updated throughout the fiscal year as additional entities meeting the $3,000 threshold are paid.

Units of local government must publish the compiled list on their website (if one exists) and update it at least monthly, or publish it monthly in a newspaper of general circulation if no website exists.

Information exempt under Section 7 of the Freedom of Information Act and payments to jurors are excluded from the disclosure requirement.

Home rule units are prohibited from compiling or publishing the expenditure list in any manner inconsistent with this section's requirements.
