Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code Section 5-2.07 regarding Medicaid spend-down eligibility for medical assistance.

Individuals who use Medicaid spend-down to qualify for medical assistance lose eligibility if they fail to meet their monthly spend-down requirement for 6 consecutive months.

Spend-down allows people with excess income or assets to establish Medicaid eligibility by paying a monthly amount to the Department of Healthcare and Family Services or having a third party pay on their behalf.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
