IL SB3869

Adds definition of "family caregiver" as a relative, partner, friend, or neighbor who assists a patient with activities of daily living, instrumental activities of daily living, or medical/nursing tasks.

Requires network plans to include in provider directories whether providers offer telehealth or telemedicine services, what modalities and specific services are provided via telehealth or telemedicine.

Requires network plans to disclose whether providers have the ability and willingness to include a family caregiver in a separate location during telehealth or telemedicine encounters if the patient consents.

Applies these telehealth and family caregiver requirements to both electronic searchable directories and print directories available upon request.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
