IL SB3894

Prohibits persons required to file statements of economic interests (including Department of Transportation employees) from holding financial interests in or receiving compensation from providers of automated speed enforcement systems or automated traffic law enforcement systems while in office.

Exempts candidates for office from the restriction until they are elected; once elected, the prohibition applies.

Requires anyone currently holding such financial interests to divest within 30 days of the act's effective date.

Defines "automated speed enforcement systems" and "automated traffic law enforcement systems" by reference to the Illinois Vehicle Code.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
