Expands the definition of "predicate activity" under Illinois Street Gang and Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Law to include bribery (33-1), official misconduct (33-3), solicitation misconduct for state government (33-3.1), solicitation misconduct for local government (33-3.2), and legislative misconduct (33-8).

Authorizes State's Attorneys to seek court orders for wiretapping and interception of private communications when investigating predicate activities listed under the Illinois Street Gang and Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Law, without requiring consent from any party to the communication.

Allows the State's Attorney to apply to the chief judge of a court of competent jurisdiction for an ex parte order authorizing interception when the interception may provide evidence of or assist in apprehending persons who have committed, are committing, or are about to commit predicate activity offenses.
