• Extends the Attendance Commission's abolition date from December 16, 2020 to December 16, 2022, allowing the commission to continue operating for two additional years.

• Requires the Commission to include in its annual recommendations mechanisms for a statewide, cross-sector study and analysis of prekindergarten through grade 12 student attendance and absenteeism rates during remote learning implementation related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

• Mandates the study focus on remote learning's impact on students, schools, and communities, while examining disparities in equitable accessibility and availability of learning resources that have impeded student attendance and academic success.

• Amends Section 2-3.164 of the School Code regarding the Attendance Commission's duties and membership composition.

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
