Acknowledges approximately 500,000 Sikh Americans nationwide and 25,000 in Illinois, with Sikhism being the fifth-largest religion globally with over 30 million followers

Highlights Sikh American contributions across diverse fields including the U.S. Armed Forces, agriculture, information technology, small businesses, hotel industry, trucking, medicine, and technology

Directs that copies of the resolution be delivered to the Sikh Religious Society
