Illinois Senate mourns the death of Jack Wesley Knott of St. Joseph, who passed away on June 13, 2020

Knott was born June 18, 1940, graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1959, and served in the Illinois National Guard from 1963 to 1969 as a staff sergeant

Worked as a computing supervisor at University of Illinois from 1963 to 1997 and owned a jewelry store in the Lando Place Mall

Actively involved in St. Joseph community as member of Civil Defense, Lions Club, library board, and cemetery association; known for performing as a singer at weddings, funerals, and nursing homes

Survived by his wife, two sons (Gregory John and Kevin Wesley), grandchildren Riley and Hayden, and numerous cousins
