Rudolf V. Kraus passed away on June 28, 2020, and the Illinois Senate mourns his death.

Born August 31, 1936 in New York, Kraus served in the U.S. Air Force and graduated from Monmouth University before working as a technician at Bell Laboratories and later as an electronics instructor.

Kraus was an avid collector of books, records, videotapes, and DVDs who enjoyed cooking and painting, and served as an adult leader for multiple Boy Scouts troops over many years.

He is survived by his wife Terry of 53 years, son Rudolf, daughter Tricia Goodman, and grandchildren Thomas and Tessa.

The Illinois Senate directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Kraus family as an expression of sympathy.
