Illinois Senate mourns the passing of Harold Eugene "Fuzz" Barton of Hartford, who died on June 19, 2020.

Barton was born April 22, 1937, served in the U.S. Army in Germany, and worked in construction with his family, building homes, roads, bridges, and utility infrastructure in the River Bend area.

He was an avid water skier in the 1960s and later became a cyclist who participated in MS 150 Rides to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Barton is survived by his daughter Stephanie, son Matthew, six grandchildren, companion Loretta O'Neal, three sisters, one brother, and numerous extended family members.

The Senate directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Barton's family as an expression of sympathy.
