Senate mourns the death of Robert Kenneth "Ken" Harvey Sr. of Wadsworth, who passed away on April 10, 2020

Ken Harvey served as a firefighter and paramedic with the Waukegan Fire Department for over 28 years, retiring as Captain in 2002, and held positions including Union Local 473 President, WFD Bomb Team Commander, Lieutenant, and Deputy Chief

After retirement, Ken Harvey served as a trustee for the Village of Wadsworth for 13 years and was active in his community as a member of Gideons International and Boy Scouts troop leader

Ken Harvey is survived by his wife Cindy (married 48.5 years), sons Rob and Jason, grandchildren Tori, Anthony, and bonus granddaughter Aubrie, sister Barbara, brother-in-law Martin, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends

The Illinois Senate extends sincere condolences to Ken Harvey's family and loved ones and directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family
