Billy McCullough of Zion passed away on June 9, 2020, at age 83, born June 29, 1936 in Mill Shoals Township to Joe and Sarah McCullough.

Worked for Coca-Cola, Colonial Bakery, owned Salem Food Mart in Zion, spent 17 years as salesman at Shepard Chevrolet in Lake Bluff, and worked at Fun Times RV.

Served on Zion Elementary District 6 School Board for two terms, as City Commissioner of Accounts and Finance from 1983 to 1991, and as Mayor of Zion from 1991 to 1995.

Active in community organizations including Kiwanis Club of Zion-Benton, Zion Chamber of Commerce, and boards of Zion, Winthrop Harbor, and Beach Park Chambers; member of Lakeview Church and Christ Community Church.

Illinois Senate extends condolences to his surviving daughter Tammy Plowman, grandchildren Stacy Storey and Katie Plowman, great-grandchild Aiden Storey, brother Al McCullough, and extended family.
