Illinois Senate mourns the death of Valli Rebecca Montgomery Tolleson of Gurnee, who passed away on April 28, 2020.

Born July 25, 1945, in Waukegan to Gladys Marian and John "Jack" Robert Montgomery; graduated from Waukegan High School in 1963 and married John Carroll Tolleson on October 19, 1968.

Worked as a bank teller at First National Bank in Waukegan before beginning a 25-year career at Abbott Laboratories.

Enjoyed embroidery, gardening, traveling to England, Scotland, and Wales, and hosting holiday gatherings including Fourth of July parties.

Survived by her husband of over 50 years, one brother, one brother-in-law, three nieces, one cousin, and two miniature Dachshunds.
