Martin L. Parisot of Moline passed away on July 24, 2020, and the Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and loved ones.

Born April 6, 1921, in Leland; served as a B-17 bomber tail gunner in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was a Prisoner of War in Stalag 17B for 21 months.

Earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1949 and worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and Rock Island Arsenal, retiring in 1976 as chief of the Product Engineering Division.

Active member of St. Pius X Church in Rock Island and American Ex-Prisoners of War; former president of the Blackhawk Chapter of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers.

Survived by wife Evelyn, seven children, 16 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren; a suitable copy of the resolution will be presented to his family.
