Warren Louis Kammerer Jr. of St. Charles passed away on July 20, 2020, at age 94.

Served as the first elected Chairman of the Kane County Board from 1990 to 1996, implementing significant infrastructure and financial reforms.

Had a lifelong career at Firestone starting in 1951, managing his own store in St. Charles for over 30 years.

Was a charter member of Kiwanis International and active in civic organizations including the VFW, Moose International, National Exchange Club, and community theater.

The Illinois Senate extends condolences to his surviving wife Virginia, eight children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
