Henry D. "Hank" Thomas of Rock Island passed away on July 28, 2020, and the Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and loved ones.

Born January 19, 1941, in Mason City, Iowa; graduated from Rock Island High School in 1959; served in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany.

Worked for Ralston Purina for more than 38 years and retired as a forklift operator in 2006.

Actively supported Rock Island High School sports, particularly track and field, and was a member of Berean Baptist Church since 2011.

Survived by three children, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, seven siblings, and special friend Sue Morris.
