James William "Bill" Van Earwage of Moline passed away on August 11, 2020, at age 85.

Served in the U.S. Marine Corps for three years and worked as a firefighter for the Moline Fire Department for 21 years and at Moline Public Hospital for 13 years.

Belonged to the East End Club, Friends Circle Club, and American Legion; enjoyed playing cards, dancing, and rolle bolle.

Survived by his son Jeff, stepsons Harlan and Brett, seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and his brother Philip.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and will present a suitable copy of the resolution to them.
