Illinois Senate expresses condolences for the death of David J. Miller of East Moline, who passed away on September 1, 2020.

David Miller was born December 23, 1927 in Des Moines, Iowa; graduated from Orion High School and Moody Bible Institute; earned a bachelor's degree from Augustana College and master's degree from Western Illinois University; and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Retired from Silvis School District where he taught math and science at Silvis Junior High School; was a member of Gideons International and a former Awana leader; enjoyed gardening and trains.

Preceded in death by his first wife Wanda Wilson (married 1956, died 1994), second wife Annette Limkeman (married 1997, died 2009), his parents, and brothers Victor and Andrew.

Survived by his daughter Emily Burdick, three stepchildren, and multiple grandchildren and step-grandchildren; a suitable copy of the resolution shall be presented to his family.
