Martin Navarro of Moline died on August 10, 2020, at age 98, having been born May 4, 1922.

Served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945 and was post commander of VFW 8890 and quartermaster of the Los Amigo Drum and Bugle Corp.

Married Julia V. Garnica on June 12, 1942, in Davenport, Iowa; she preceded him in death on February 7, 2009.

Survived by 6 children, 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, his brother Andrika "Hank" Navarro, and his adopted dog Max.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and friends and directs a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to his family.
