Honors Jean L. Lucio of Plainfield, Illinois, who died on July 16, 2020, with a memorial resolution from the Illinois Senate.

Jean Lucio was born May 12, 1954, in Newport News, Virginia, earned a degree in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech, and worked as a chemical engineer at Stepan Chemical until retirement.

Known for community service including volunteering at Grace United Methodist Church on mission trips and at a local food bank, as well as helping neighbors with rides and support.

Survived by four children (Nicolas "Tony", Robert, Evelyn, and Samuel Lucio), seven grandchildren, and two siblings; preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Illinois Senate extends sincere condolences to her family, friends, and loved ones, with a suitable copy of the resolution to be presented to the Lucio family.
