Dale E. McRoberts of Lincoln passed away on August 25, 2020; he was born June 26, 1936, and graduated from Atlanta High School in 1954.

Served as sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps 3rd Marine Division during the Korean War era, stationed in Okinawa as an armory repairman and DUKW driver.

Taught industrial arts and drivers' education at Delavan High School starting in 1961, then taught at Lincoln Community High School beginning in 1963, overseeing construction of 25 Building Trades homes over 26 years before retiring in 1994.

Accomplished professional square dance caller for 52 years beginning in 1968, serving as club caller for the Morton Whirl-A-Ways for over 40 years and being inducted into the Illinois Square Dance Association Hall of Fame in 2013 with his wife Beverly.

Survived by his wife of 60 years, three daughters, three granddaughters, one sister, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
