Senate Resolution mourning the death of Donald R. "Donnie" Bealer of Coal Valley, who passed away on September 6, 2020

Bealer was born January 24, 1932, in Milan; served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict; and married Beverly Strayer on July 18, 1954

Constructed Beverly Manor Apartments after returning from war and founded 5 Cities Construction (later 5 Cities Paving), completing numerous projects in the Quad Cities area including Black Hawk College parking lots, street paving, and a 100-door truck terminal

Developed subdivisions in Coal Valley including Oak Knoll, Windcrest, and Oak View Estates; was a member of the Moline Lions Club, Elks Club, and Quiet Birds Aviation Club; enjoyed flying, boating, and cooking

Survived by his wife Beverly, son Bryan, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren; a suitable copy of the resolution to be presented to his family
